Your oral hygiene is important to your whole body health

The use of an electric toothbrush is one of the best ways to ensure that you are brushing your teeth thoroughly. The high-speed rotation allows for a more thorough scrubbing, which can help to remove plaque and bacteria from areas that may be hard to clean with a regular manual brush. This can reduce your risk of developing gum disease or cavities in the future.

The American Dental Association recommends brushing teeth for two minutes to properly clean your mouth's surfaces, which are home to millions of bacteria.

Flossing removes food particles and bacteria from those hard-to-reach places. It also helps prevent bad breath!

Keeping your dental health in check is one of the most important things you can do for your overall well-being. One of the best ways to maintain good teeth and gums is by making regular trips to see your dentist.

Water helps to flush out the harmful bacteria and plaque buildup in your mouth, which leads to tooth decay and gum disease, that comes from food particles you've eaten, especially sugary foods. It also keeps your saliva production strong - an important factor in protecting teeth from cavities since saliva naturally washes away acids formed by cavity-causing bacteria. So drink up!

Sugar is harmful when consumed regularly because it causes tooth decay and gum disease. Avoid those sugary snacks and choose something more beneficial.

The Process of a Dental Cleaning

Learn everything you need to know about a dental cleaning in Bellflower

A dental cleaning is one of the most important procedures that you can have done. It helps to keep your teeth and gums healthy while also preventing issues like tooth decay or gum disease. A dental tooth cleaning is a routine procedure that every dentist recommends. Dental plaque, which is the microscopic film of food particles and bacteria on your teeth, can lead to cavities or gum disease if left untreated. The process of a dental tooth cleaning typically involves an examination of the gums for signs of inflammation, tooth decay, or bleeding; removal of any calculus (tartar) buildup on the teeth with special instruments; polishing off any rough spots on the chewing surfaces using different types of materials such as paper strips or rubber cups; and then applying fluoride varnish to protect against acid erosion from food and beverages. Once the cleaning is finished, the dentist will examine your teeth and gums to see if other treatments are necessary, such as deep cleanings to stop gum disease, teeth whitening, or oral cancer screenings. A dental tooth cleaning usually lasts for about 30 minutes or so, depending on how much work needs to be done. You will need to make sure you are up-to-date with the latest x-rays before any brushing or flossing takes place. A Bellflower dentist will also ask for a list of medications you are taking as well as allergies because these could affect the procedure.

Great customer service and attentive staff! My 3 year old enjoyed his visit! Yes, I said he enjoyed it! He had to have X-rays done, and I was so worried that he wasn't gonna be a happy camper but the X-ray tech, Dominique, is so good with kids! The X-rays were fast and painless! This dental group surpasses my expectations! Amazing staff! My experience at Bellflower Dental Group was outstanding. Get bored during waiting? Don't worry! You can kill time by watching a movie in their comfy, amazing movie theater, or even get a massage! They even give out free cookies! I always have fun just by waiting for my name to be called. I highly recommend this dental group. I come to them for my braces, their ortho is incredible, the highlight of this dental group. The staff is amazing, their employees are so kind and take the time to perfect your braces.

I love this dental office! I have been coming here for years. It is a one-stop-shop! You can get your x-rays, cleaning, braces, labs, dentures, toothbrushes, and more all right here. They offer a movie room, 15 minute massages, child care, coffee, tea, and snacks! The weekends included face painting and balloon art for the kids. The staff is great, and they try to work with you if you need a payment plan. I think most insurance carriers are accepted. Never had any issues with any of the work done here!
